not to be too much of a prick...but you its enviironmentally F'd up to buy coral skeletons. they pull out acros, the bigger the better-and older, and let them dry out and die and voila coral skeleton....its like someone grabbing you throwing you in acid and selling those nice cute litlle white bones- trick or treat. thumbs down here

Most of the "bleeched Coral" that is for sale are older pieces that have been in the trade for sometime. If you go into LFS you see them with pieces that have been sitting there for ages. Most people now use live rock instead of bleeched corals for decorations but if you starting keeping a fish only tank in the 90's or before mostly you have some beeched corals.

Actually they make more money selling a small piece of coral as compare to selling off a large piece of bleeched coral.

Oh man, just my luck! Seems like this kinda stuff only happens to me.

Yes, this is probably an older type sys, it was a total package gift from a family member. I have never really taken a liking to dead corals, hence the garage sale! I too think it's silly to remove dead coral, when fake replicas can easily be made. BUT, what do you want me to do with it....smash it against the concrete?

Anyway, I thought that for someone who was really into this stuff that this would be a great deal, since the corals alone are worth more than the actual price tag.
