Trigger Systems Ruby 30 sumps are constructed with high quality crystal clear acrylic and are designed to be used as either a Berlin Sump, or Refugium. The Ruby 30 sump has a three chamber system; The first chamber has two built in 4" 100 micron filter socks, the second chamber is an open space that can be used to house equipment, like a Protein Skimmer or Media Reactor, the third chamber is for a return pump. The middle chamber can also be used as a refugium, by adding a light source. The baffle between the middle chamber and pump chamber has a two platform design, that includes a filter sponge to trap debris and remove bubbles, the second platform can be used to hold additional filter media. The Trigger Systems Ruby Sumps also incorporate Ruby tinted acrylic to limit light penetration, and reduce unwanted algae growth, and a built in probe holder in the sump chamber.
