Free sps colony with a catch!

I bought this colony thought it had potential but it darkened a bit was getting lavender tips now starting to crap out on me !

Any one who has a sucess full sps tank and wants to take it for free only catch is if u take it and are able to color it up I want a lg pc back if it craps out then no big deal!

What kind of lights are you using. And what is your Alk and Phoshate.

If it's Mariculture it can take awhile before getting better.

Some my other sps that color nicely so this colony is a pita and I don't have the room to wait yrs for it to decide weather to color or STn

It's not Mari I believe it was wild not sure grow where when I first got it had awesome polyp ext now eh
It's a pc for someone with room in a frag tank to let sit for a bit

For mariculture colonies, when they have signs of stn, I just make them into frags and place them in different places, u can save at least half of the colonies but in frags, I m running 14k de Phoenix like u do

I can keep it and give it back when/if it comes back. Instead of giving u a big frag u give me a frag and take back the colony.

Mariculture colonies are a pain in the golf balls. I pretty much limit it to plana/deswali, abrolhenisis, millis, and hoeksemi (tricky, but I have good success). Matt have you bayer dipped that colony?

No I dipped it in revive and have treated for red bugs no signs of aefw that I can see but aranold if /when we meet up certainly dip it with Bayer

Hey Matt was that the tri-color? Mine browned out as well and lost PE too. Not STNing or any thing so I'm waiting it out. It might be from the lighting.

Hi mike yes my mh bulbs need to be changed soon but who knows it's not the tri color that one is doing pretty good for me under LEDs

I would frag a couple pieces off the colony and spread them out, to see if they color up in different tanks.
