wait a minute. what happens if you dont pay in 2 months? they submit to a collection agency and ding your credit record? I'm not even sure a credit agency will take the assignment for $900. They get a cut of the action so why would they work to hard for a couple hundred bucks.

with all due respect, if your credit record isnt good enuf to get you a loan or credit card, the ding they give you doesnt matter much. and once the pet hospital and collection agency see your credit record they're gonna know its going to be tuf to collect.

tell them the situation and offer to pay $20 per week. if they refuse, tell them to sue you.

i cant imagine they'll ever force you to bankruptcy court cuz it wont get them anything. and no judge would ever take your personal possessions like that. he'll force you and them to settle on a payment plan.

so play hardball. tell them what you can reasonably afford. dont let them scare you. you've offered to deal in good faith, they're being unreasonable. the medical system sees this situation all the time.

its not like you took the money for a cruise or beer bash.

Also, have to second the idea of telling them you can only pay $20/month. Make the payments and they have to accept your hardship circumstances.

i think i have a plan, i want to do a auction and i think it will bne on the 14th but i don't know where or how. the idea is good and hopefully with all the donations the bill from the ER will be payed for and if there are any extra funds i want to donate it to "Homeward Bound Dog Rescue of New York", they are the ones that took the dog back and are paying for all of the other medical charges.
