WTB Acrylic

Does anyone know where I could buy acrylic? I spoke to some salesperson from a glass place that told me that plexiglass and acrylic are the same thing. She quoted me $8.00/sq.foot for 1/4 inch and $6.00/sq.foot for 1/8 inch, is she quoting me plexiglass?

There are two places on Canal Street in Manhattan. One is called Canal Plastics, I can't think of the other place. They are like a block apart. If you are glueing pieces together, I highly recommend the'Weld-On' Cements. DONT use Canal Plasics inhouse stuff, it never works for me. The other place (whose name I can't remember) sells 'Weld-On'. I use the #4 to glue pieces together and the #16(thick)to fill any larger voids.

Plexiglass is one manufacture's tradmark name for thier acrylic. I'm sure you will find better prices at the places on Canal street.

The glue is very toxic. You need good ventilation
