The reason you don't want to let the sand sit is because there is useful bacteria dieing in there right now. I wouldn't sell it to anyone after a tomorrow because the bacteria will eventually die and I wouldn't want someone to put it in their tank and have a nutrient spike. Its not worth the few dollars for someone to have issues with their tank

Are we done? Maybe you should ask why before jumping on someone next time.

And yes if cali wanted the sand free I would give it to him. But thats because I owe him for cutting up sheets of acrylic for me to make my sump, driving me out to pick up a pump and the acrylic and other stuff that he did on his day off, but I shouldn't have to explain that.

charile1, if I know you, I'll most likely give you stuff for free if you asked. You can ask anyone that I have met here if they ever left my house unhappy. You can call it what you want, but no way I would give stuff away for free to someone that wants to take advantage of the situation and I don't even know them.

Its not right to say "I can't buy something right now", then say "but I will take it for free". If he wanted the sand for free he should say so, or offer something he can afford. This is not a charity site, people can certainly decide what to do with their own stuff.
