Sorry for the bad pics, my digital camera sucks when i zoom in. The first pic is the frag and the 2nd is a pic of the colony.

don't zoom, you should go up to the glass as close as possible, if you have a flower button on your camera hit it, that is for macro and then take a pic. if the frag is far from the glass, place it on the sand as close as possible.

They look exactly like that, what kind of camera did u use to take those pics. I've been looking for a camera that can take crystal clear close up shots. I'm charging the battery on the digital and going to try to take better pics for everyone to see. They are great looking zoos wit a couple of them that changed colors in the center, a couple turned pink center, and a couple with orange center(i'm not sure if its b/c of my 20000k bulb). But the rest of the zoos look like that pick inline.

I use an old 5mp Olympus E-20 w/Macro lens adaptor (pre-SLR era).
Still takes great shots.

BTW - I have quite a collection of colorful zoas, but they're just frags right now.

I'm not sure what slr is but how much and where can i get a camera like that. I've looked at all the new digital cameras and they all blur out when i zoom in. I want to be able to take pics like that. I'm definately interested in trading zoo frags. Let me know what kind of zoos r u willing to trade. I'll trade u the zoos for the camera, lol, jk. Do u live near grand central or just work around there.

All of the petstores in westchester are pricey. Jaws 2 in elmsford and Reef and Fin in Stamford are your best bets. There's always House of Fish :scratchch
