My first DIY LED fixture is up for sale. I upgraded to a 125 gallon tank, and have built another fixture for it. I absolutely love this fixture, and it works perfectly over a 24x24 area such as a large cube. It has more power and measured PAR than a Radion Pro (which I also own).
It was originally a chinese light that I modified completely. The original build thread is here.
Fixture includes:
48 LEDs
24 XT-E Royal Blue @ 1300mah
6 XT-E Cool White @ 1300mah
3 XT-E Neutral White @1300mah
3 XT-E Warm White @1300mah
2 Luxeon ES Green @630mah
2 Luxeon ES Blue @630mah
2 Luxeon ES Cyan/Turquise @630mah
2 Luxeon ES Red @630mah
4 SemiLEDs True Violet 420nm @630mah
3 Meanwell ELN-60-48D 1300mah
1 Meanwell ELN-30-48D 630mah
2 80mm fans
48 90degree optics
2 finned aluminum heatsinks
4 color channels (2 for blue, 1 white, 1 colors)
Fixture is optimal at 55-65%. Requires an Apex with VDM module to run. Can run on a DIM 4 with Ethernet cord modification.
Preferred if buyer has some DIY knowledge. Running the fixture at 100% will make it warm to the touch, and may fry coral. It is not recommended. It will easily reach through 36" of water with over 200 PAR to the sand bed.
Selling for $320, paypal fees and shipping included. Priced to sell asap.
For what it has, it is an absolute steal compared to LED fixtures on the market. Better than Radion Pro power and color, at more than half the price.
PAR measurements at 100%. They are retina searing.
