+1 I kind of do have to agree with this... I know many friends that are down there that are just barely making ends meet. Not worth the trouble to move if you can avoid it... do so by all means.. JMO

I wasn't gonna say it but now that the can is open...IMO and experience, unless you are going there to retire, are independently wealthy, or have a family obligation, FLORIDA is not the place to be. I have given this advice b4. I lived there for six years. Its beautiful and warm, I loved the view there. I had a great job for down there, $75,000/yr isn't too shabby down there. When the bottom fell out, the company I worked for went under. After that it was $8-12/hr jobs, if you could find one. I ended up right back in NY. The school systems SUCK, and it is one of the most politically corrupt places I have ever seen. I have traveled through 48 different states and FL is a wolf in sheep's clothing. I was in Palm Beach County. (But hey, just my .02) Good luck with the move and sale. Sorry if I hijacked the thread, I just hate to see anyone go there and get stuck. GL.
