I've been a huge lurker on here for a couple of years now. I've learned so much from this community that I thought why not give back?
I need to sell two reef tanks I have running. One is a 29 gallon and the other is a Cadlights 34 gallon.
The Cadlights has a pair of breeding clowns (have been breeding non-stop for the last year) six-spot sand sifting goby and four sexy shrimps as well as assorted snails from reefcleaners and one blue-legged hermit.
The 29 gallon has a pair of breeding clowns (again, breeding like crazy for the last year or so) and an orange spotted prawn goby as well as assorted snails from reefcleaners.
Both run Odysea 250W HQI halide/PC combo light fixtures and digital Coralife timers. I've been running ReefCrystals and keep the salinity at 1.025.
Here's the deal: I'm moving out and need these tanks to go to good homes. I thought about just giving everything to the LFS, but I figured I could help someone out here on MR and give back to the community being that I've learned so much here. As you can see, there is green hair algae growing in some places as I haven't had the proper time lately to care for them.
So take a look at the pics and let me know what you want! And just like the title says, NAME YOUR PRICE! I'm not looking to make money, or break even, I just want the lives of my saltwater friends to go to good homes being that I cared for them for about 5 years now.
The tanks are located in Massapequa NY on Long Island. I don't know the first thing about shipping livestock and really do not want to. Ideally you can come by with a bucket (or two) of pre-mixed water and pick-up what you want. Or better yet, take the whole tank! Or both!
Asking $300 for the 29 gallon and $500 for the 34 gallon. Prices include ALL LIVESTOCK seen in the tank. Both come with JBJ top-off's and small top-off water tanks as well as digital Coralife timers and heaters. But I will entertain any counteroffers as of right now. The Cadlights comes with the stand, but the 29 gallon does not.
Individual corals: $10 -$30?
You can text me at 516-459-6282 for more info, or just reply here or PM me.
I would love to have my friends gone to new happy homes within the next two weeks if possible.
First set of pics are the 29 gallon. I'm running a Seaclone skimmer and a small canister filter. Some pieces are attached to large rock, so please keep that in mind. That's green zoas growing all over the left side of the tank's glass.
