Just bought a bunch of rock

Hey all,

I just bought a bunch of live rock but have not put it in my tank yet. Is it ok to leave them in a bucket with a few power heads to have the water circulate?

Do I also have to heat them? I expect the rocks to be in the bucket for at least 3 days.

Should be fine as long as there's enough water, try not to go over 3lb to a gallon though; if the rock is pre-cured go a little less though as the rock will cycle in the bucket.

I'd keep the water warm at least 70 to 72 if you could.

if it is not cured i would let the rock dry out to make sure you did not bring scavengers with you but if the rock is cured do what qy said
