I got a Large green zoanthid colony from a LFS and after it wasnt doing so hot in my tank i threw it in my fuge

it got way way better after 2 months so i put it back in my main tank.

yesterday i was looking in my tank and i turned on the lights at 3 am after the tank had been all black out for 6 hours

i see what looked to be a lobster but blue and i said wait thats not possible so i looked maybe 25 min later after i shuut the lights off again and maybe full body a 1cm long Mantis shrimp was there claws and all

i quickly scared him back in and put the colony back in my fuge

what should i do next

Mantis

oh well if he wont harm my livestock in the long run ill keep him but if when he grows ill give him away if hes going to mess my tank up

Think again he will kill your lifestock, first the snails and any shrimp you have. Then when they are gone he'll go after any small fish he can catch. And when everything is gone he's comin after you :kidding:.Separate him from everything u love.

A mantis shrimp will kill everything in the tank that is alive. The Mantis Shrimp packs a punch equal to a 22 cal bullet so keep that in mind if you accidentally grab a rock and don't see him there. Also Mantis shrimp can shatter a tank with that power.

Good luck.

I wouldn't keep it in the fuge long term either becaue then it really isn't a refuge and all your pods, etc will get eaten; Unless you want to turn your refuge into a species display tank, lol.

Absolutely 100% correct. The definition of the word refugium is a safe haven. A place where there are NO predators. If you add a mantis or anything else that requires feeding, you'll be defeating the purpose of the refugium.
