I'm new to this and just purchased a sailfin tang. Wanted to know if anybody has any advice on the care of this fish.....anything is appreciated.
Thanks
They can grow to a maximum of 15 inches, so a 6 foot long tank is prefered (125 gal. or above). They love sushi nori, hate other tangs, and the one in the display at my LFS loves to be peted.
As far as I know, care for all tangs is pretty much the same. The only difference is giving enough space to some of the larger variations.

Did you get the red sea or the regular one? Just asking the sailfin is one of my favorites. I had mine for quite awhile until he had a run in with a PBT.
I agree with the advice above. Also you can use some romaine lettuce too. I would freeze mine so that when it went in the tank it was not crispy. I used organic romaine.
I got the regular tang but I'm learning that the fish may be too big for the tank I have. Will the fish grow to the size of the tank or just continue to grow(I know it can be as big as 15 inches)?
