I found a LFS here that sells loose mushrooms...they are currently growing off their display tanks which i thought was kinda cool and the owner told me he would sell them for $4 each if i wanted them...i think they would be pretty cool to fill in some blank spots on my LR but was wondering how i would go about in attaching them..a customer their said to use super glue but im not sure it would work if i have to perform this under water...any suggestions are appreciated...Thanks

super glue jel. that's what i use. you have to be quick about it though, otherwise while the shroom is in your hand, it will start putting off slime, and then the glue won't stick. it works under water

I use bridal veil net to hold a 'shroom on to a small rock. Place the mushroom on the rock, put the netting over it, the put a rubber band over to hold the net. When the shroom is attached, it will puff up and then you take the netting off.

Or, you can put a cup of rubble in your sump in a low flow area and put the shroom on the rubble. It will attach in a few days.

I'm much more sloppy than X so I dont use the glue. Instead I have used a rubberband. Also a good way to force a mushroom to split into 2 if you wanted. I found out by accident ofcourse =-)

I prefer to put the mushrooms or polyps in a seperate holding tank, refug, or sump. anyway where the mushroom will sit on the rocks without being blown off. It'll usually attach in a couple days and is less stressful.
