My new pair of false clowns will be introduced into a tank, a newly cycled tank, next weekend, and in the mean time, i want to buy some types of fish to chop up and get frozen in readyness...

I was looking over the fish monger counter and besides all the normal fish you get there, i was looking at 1) Squid 2) Clams and 3) Raw Prawns...Mixting in a little nori aswell to give it some variety..

Can anybody see any issues with these foods?

Sounds good to me. My current mix is prawns and scallops. My clowns eat it like crazy.

I heard from a member here that scallops can cause phospate issues. I quit using them. I use prawns, clams, salmon, frozen mysis(rinsed with RO), frozen baby brine shrimp (for the SPS) and formula 1. Maybe its an overkill but the fish sure like it.

i also like having a bit of garlic (either fresh or liquid extract like kent 'garlic extreme') in the mix as well as some vita-chem or selcon.

curious to know about the garlic as well

About how much do 2 false percs eat? I haven't purchased mine yet, but I'm trying to grasp how much they eat. I know not to feed more than they will eat in 2 or 3 minutes, but the question is:

I purchased some frozen enriched brine shrimp cubes. Is one cube overkill for 2 clowns in a 12 gallon? About half a cube? etc.

Hiya Miston..

Well, i brought some small ice cude holders that are about 2 cm square..

I cut of a few slices, defrost them and keep feeding them bits for a few minutes..I am the same as you with fish wise..My clowns absolutly lovemy frozen mixture..i have even got them eating it off the end of my finger now...Its great...Not bothered with the garlic for now as they are very happy with the foods i am giving them
