hi does anyone know if (joes juice) a product that kills aiptasias when feed to , will work on mushrooms. has anyone had any succes?

Hello, cammmy, welcome to reefs.org.

Do a search on this stuff on our site, folks appear to have had success killing Aiptasia, and have had concurrent (though nothing's proven yet) deaths of ornamental shrimps. IIRC they're usually Lysmata spp. I do not know if anyone's used it on mushies as well.

If you don't have any shrimps, I say go for it. If you have shrimps, 50/50 chance....

First I've heard of shrimp deaths? I've used it with peppermint, cleaner, and pistol shrimp with no problem. I have a friend who's used it in her 60g. with inverts, and she accidentally poured some out of the bottle when it tipped. Her shrimp are fine.

What were the reports of deaths? Just curious.

Three reefers on here including myself have had "mysterious" shrimp deaths after using joesjuice. Funny thing is the only we all had in common was we all had just recently used the juice.

The product worked well and killed my majanos but just like to warn others just in case they have shrimp. Also, Joe the owner of joesjuice refuses to let us know whats in it!

Has anyone used this in a tank with other anemones? I have a bunch of BTA's I don't want to kill, along with a ton of small aptasia I DO want to kill. :twisted:

From what I can gather only shrimps so far are the ones to be careful of....
