Hi eveyone.Mike here.I was referred to this site by someone at fish town usa in queens.Well I've been doing this salt water thing for about a year now I'am currently runing a 55 gallon reef with Tek T5 ho light a aquamedic multi skimmer and a 30 gallon reugium.lately I notice that the tips of some of my acropora turning a brownish color is there any reason for this.

Welcome to the site, hope u enjoy ur stay....

acros can turn brown for many reasons...

- to much nutrients/phosphates
- to much lighting
- not enough flow
- calcium, alk, mag
- salinity
- ph
and the list goes on....

why dont u start a thread on ur tank and tell us all about it... we love pics and info... what is all ur levels at....

As of now its only the green citrus acropora that doing this the blue tip acropora is doing just fine and both are around the same spot.As for lighting being the problem I doubt that.I was thinking that it mite be the miracle mud in the refugium.All the levels in the tank are fine.
