I am thinking of setting up an IP video camera to view my tank from the internet. Any sujestions? Examples?

i know radio shack had a security cam that was meant to be hooked up to the web. u could start there. just remember u get what u pay for. cheap crapy camera means cheap crapy image. i know there are some tank cams on the web anyone can look at i would try to contact the owners of those cams

the quality of the stream video is not only determine by the type of camera, it also depends on what your uploads speed of your internet service is.
you dont really need any specialize cam. all u really need is a decent webcam with a constant good upload speed of at least 5 m/sec.

Reefman, good cameras will adjust the bandwidth to use as little as 1.5M and still stream a great video at 20 fps. Take a look here, it's an Axis HD camera in the Ukraine; choose the bridge as there usually lot more car traffic. Downside is the camera runs over 1K.

Just looking for HD quality over my LAN. Can work from there.
Did some searching. Looks like it will cost a lot to get the quality I want...Take a look at this cam/tank.

Still think a camcorder that can stream to PC is the way to go. My JVC will not do it, so time to upgrade...
if I can find one that will do what I want.The Axis camera in the fishcam link is nice but still 400+, I've only looked really quick but did not see any with built in Ethernet.
