just got a nikon D3000 and was playing around with it... was wondering if any one can tell me the settings they use to take great pictures of their tanks and fish thanks..
See the button with the small little pictures/icons? For close up shots, use the one that looks like a flower. I personally like the one that has a small running man on it. That one is used for speed. Works well for taking pics of your fish. Then there's the one that has like a box with a small star. Thats for indoor use or for cloudy and night picture taking. Like Dre stated.. fool around with it. Just stand very still and like firing a weapon... snap a picture when you exhale to avoid most movement of the body. Have fun!!
try to pick up a macro lens, you'll love the results. also set your white balance for the lighting in your tank. this way you will get correct colors. you can read the manual on how to do this.
