need photo help

hey all you photo guru's i need help picking out a new zoom macro lens that wont break the bank. i am running it on a cannon rebel xsi EOS camera. i currently have a canon compact macro 50mm 1:2.5

any and all help will e greatly appreciated.

Theres two choices, the 60mm and the 100mm for true macro lenses. The 100mm gives you enough play room to get deeper into your tank. the 60mm has a much shorter view range but you can get awesome pictures really close up.

I have both, and the 60 is more of a novelty lense for real close ups in the tank while the 100 is more of a general purpose macro.

These will give you a better idea. No way could i zoom in as close to the plate with the 100mm as shown with the 60mm.
