so far so good. have you tried to use the macro feature,and if so try to keep it steady or use a tripod. this was taken close to the glass without flash.

pic did not load will try later.

in the mean time try to setup a custom file for use on your tank.you cansetup the WB first.

setting your WB is easy just get a piece of white PVC and place it in your tank under your lighting and adjust the WB.
Then save that in custom and use it every time you take pics of your tank. it will give you correct color in your tank.

I used a tripod, with a custom setting I setup for my tanks Lighting. and macro.

here's another under LED lights.

Because no matter how steady you think you are, at such a high zoom level you really aren't that steady.

It's one possibility, Try the chair method. Taks a high enough backed chair and move it to in front of your tank. Rest the camera on it as you take the picture. See if that helps. Shaking effects lots of things. Focus is one of them.

The G9 does not focus well when used in the zoom method. The camera has to be at its widest mm which is 7.4 and on macro. this will give you the best focused shot. also don't forget that the angle of the aquarium can also blur a photo.
