The anemones proved to be challenging since they move around slightly even with the pumps off!

Critique welcome as this is my first attempt... I used helicon focus, method "b" with 5 to 10 shots per pic..

what camera and lens did you use? did u use a tripod as well?

I shoot with a Canon Rebel Xti with 100mm f2.8 macro lens, and a 50 mm f1.8

They are all very close in exposure, I just started shooting so only the tips of the anemone are in focus, then making very small adjustments, kept shooting until the very center of the anemone is in focus and the tentacles are blurred. I shot this at f14, so I might make the aperture larger and see if it improves the sharpness and I might be able to keep some background bokeh as well?

I always use a tripod and a remote shutter release as I drink a lot of coffee so I'm pretty shakey!
