Good camera?

Interested in getting into photography; reef and non reef related. Looking to blow pictures up on large canvas or pictures.

Can anyone recommend a good camera for around 500?

canon g9 is good portable camera that you can carry with you.
However for more professional i would recommend Canon Rebel XTI. its got better options and settings, but bulky and not easy to carry around.
