Same old Sun Polyps

A very small feather Duster I found on my torch.

My favorite: Torch w/ Sexy Shrimp.

Im still having trouble getting clear, focused shoots. I have tripod, but I think when I push the button it ruins the pic.
Even though its a mistake, the 3rd pics blurryness is really cool.

kool. Now for the blurriness - when you depress the button try going slow. Also, you may not be able to get such close pics with your camera. I have that problem with my cam, sometimes I can get in real close, but for the most I have to zoom out some. And before I get slammed - no I am no photographer. I'm simply sharing my limited experience with my cam.

It looks like you either:

a) Need a lens with a shorter focal distance because you are too close;
b) Need to set the timer to you don't wiggle the camera;
c) Need to change the shutter speed to a faster shutter/wider aperture/higher ISO

My shutter speed is very very slow....I need to look into making it faster.
Im afraid the camera is broken, b/c the shutter speed is very slow sometimes, and fast othertimes.

It is using the ambient light to determine shutter speed. You need to set it manually. Is it a point and shoot or a dSLR? If it's a dSLR there should be a Tv mode or you can use the M mode and set both shutter and aperture.

it is a canon EOS 10D(about 3-4 yrs old)
and I just got a Tamron SP AF90mm

Using a 90mm Macro lens almost assuredly requires a dead man's steady hand or a tripod.

I have a tripod...The newer posts were taken free hand,I will setup the tripod and take a few pics tonight during the sharks game... Thats the San Jose Sharks, they are awesome

I use a 100mm without a tripod 75% of the time. It is possible. You do have to have a very steady hand though.
