Russ that pic was by far the best but we needed to get rid of all of the distractions in the pic and focus on the main subject :lol2:

If you are looking to produce a high quality calender, you need to set resolution standards for your images. Web sized images will not look that great when printed on a medium to large size calendar.

MASNA's photo contest had the following recommendation/requirement:

pictures that are taken with a digital camera should be taken with a 4 megapixel or better camera, set to its highest quality, with little to no cropping to produce an 11” x 8.5” print. 300 DPI is ideal (3300 x 2550 pixels), however a digital photo at 200 DPI or above (2200 x 1700 pixels) is acceptable.

I would also recommend that the final copy sent to production of the calendar be free of markings/signatures and date stamps. Those would really detract from the calendar, IMHO.

Agreed. well, the people with the photos that are selected can email them at the appropriate resolution and without modifications.

Instead of doing a print calendar how about doing a computer calendar, the type that you can keep on your desk top. You can then have revolving pictures in it, that way you can also have more than 12 pictures. I'm sure one of the computer guys here can easily create it.
