Great composition, good detail.

I would guess by the aquariums light. If a flash was used you would most likely see more detail in the mouth area.

I think so.

I would say yes if you’re not familiar with saltwater crabs
5. Is there anything that the Photographer could have been done technically to make this a better
photo?
I'm not sure if you can consider this technical but maybe wait until he was feeding to show the expanded filtering arms. This would definitely have changed the composition which I like so well. I would have added a touch more post sharpening.
