Because it allows you to set the shutter speed AND how much light lets in I'd say it's pretty damn good with fish. I've never had a camera that had a manually adjustable shutter speed so it's all new to me, but from just playing around a bit it's easy enough to get non-flash fish photos. You can adjust the shutterspeed from 4 seconds to 1/1000sec (actually you can get an 8 minute shutter exposure if you REALLY want it).
