thanks Jim. i just can't get rid of it. I have a ton of flow. nitrates are less then 10 and my po4 is about .05

red slime remover works on that stuff too...I have a little green hair algae I'm ready to use some on my tank but I never used rsr on my main tank... I messed up puting a nasty piece of coral from the wrong store here on the island in my tank.... That green stuff, red stuff, slime stuff comes in on nasty rocks and then it's a rap...:Up_to_som

bob i dont like to recc. bandages for ones reef tank, especially somebody like twins tank which is absolutely gorgeous and thriving... find the root of the problem and take care of it that way, medications suck. that crap killed off more then half of my corals in my 75 gallon.... just a fyi... know back to the reg. scheduled twin's pic ...

Yo have you tried the lights off for a few days trick yet....?
I got my first outbreak of Cyno recently and tried the light trick...
it worked great and the tank hasn't looked so clean since I set it up.
I only tried it for two days rather than three.
My clams, sps, lps, everything -looks great!

I don't like to use medications either. But rsr has never done anything detrimental to my other tanks... I have had problem with erythromycin...I'll never go there again..

Oh yeah, the root can be something as simple as one piece of nasty rock you missed..It's that simple..
