I love the style of that tank! You've got some really good depth in there... I can feel a storm of aquascaping ideas forming in my mind already .
So how do you plan on aquascaping it?
Yes cleaning it is going to be a pain, I had to go buy a step ladder when I got the tank. But for the deal I got on it I couldn't pass it up. The guy I got it from said it was custom made it measures 36x24x36. As for aquascaping I might add a little more live rock and that will be about it(you can't really tell from the pics but there is about 45# there). There is no way I would try to reef this tank. The funny thing: it sits @ 6' tall and my ceilings downstairs are a little over 7' so you didn't have a clue how much fun it's going to be. Really thankful for the Water Python!!
I just got rid of my tank, which was exactly the same height as yours. However I had an additional covered canopy which added 6 more inches to the height. I couldn't reach the bottom to save my life.
Also note that the light penetration is extremely weak at the very bottom, so it may be worthwhile trying to stack toward the top, if you plan a reef.
Also there is problems with filtration and water flow.
I agree, the tall tanks are very nice, but the maintance was easily 10x that of my shorter/larger tank.
