I have a Sony Cybershot, with the USB adapter. I just got a new computer, and I install all of the drivers, and in device manager, it says it is working. I believe the USB is working. I plug the camera in, and I hear the little chime, also when I unplug it.

Here is my proble..... I can't access the memory card, I can't even find the camera in Win Explorer. On my old computer, it came up as a seperate drive.

Can somebody help me? I am not usually computer illiterate, but this one is stumping me.

Oops, almost forgot, I am running Win XP.

Any help would be apreciated....

I had a similar problem with my Coolpix 990 and Win2000 - apparently the USB controller on my motherboard was not compliant with the camera. I called Nikon and we went to the device manager and checked the USB controller and they said it was not on their list.

My advice, get a USB card reader and try that - they are cheap.

Cheers

I had the exact same problem with the Nikon Coolpix 4300. What James said- get a card reader, presto-chango! $20.
