It worked and that's a pretty cool tank, I like cubes I would like to build a big one some day and put it in the middle of a room so you can walk around it.

Yep-in the market for a new tank, not sure if I want the 30 cube or 54 corner. Have been to many different lfs measuring the interior height of the stands as my ETSS 600 is 27". If the floor of stand is raised like in many stands there is not enough room but in some like this 30, the 54 and 92 corner and the bows, they rest against the floor providing enough space. My favorite lfs www.thehiddenreef.com has a 38 cherry on sale but unfortunately the floor is raised.

Hmmm. All nice tanks, but my personal preference is for a cube. I've always wanted one of these. You can always special order the tank/stand set with the cabinent you're looking for (yes, the bottom one is very nice). Might as well order a bigger tank while you're at it, like a 60 gallon cube (24"^3) :)

I love the cube "form factor" It's really idea to light w/ one MH lamp and make a nice reef pinnacle. Here is my 30" cube - about the biggest you can light w/ 1 400w MH lamp:

Don't have a photo of the actual tank and stand online just now but I will try to get one.

Cheers

Sorry, but I've got no pictures of large cube tanks. But you can imagine what they look like .... it's just a very pleasing dimension IMO. Just picture the small cube you saw, but magnified. It's an awesome walk-around tank like Kabob said.

Temporarily hijacking Johns thread at his request :)

Pics of my 60 gallon acrylic DIY cube tank. Currently set up as a 'display refugium' / lagoon tank. Many types of macro algaes and critters plus seagrass as a vascular plant - oh and my two flower anemones. I may be moving a few fish over - not too concerned about pods being depleted this tank will soon house a marine betta a friend of mine can't keep in his tank anymore and possibly my breeding pair of bangaiis (worried about the anemone). It has a 6" bed of southdown and about 50 lbs of live rock mostly plate shaped pieces.

I am planning on building a 14" canopy to put a spare 250w PFO halide fixture over and a spare 12k bulb - currently has a PC fixture over it.

Marine planted tanks? Hmmm.....
