Green Brain w/tentacles extended

This is my little green Brain.. I've never really seen any pics of brains with fully extended tentacles.. so I figured I'd post mine..

I'm still using my trusty old Nikon Coolpix 950 8)
It's a few years old, but still gets the job done..

Devil, can you tell me a little more about the settings your camera is using when you're taking these pics? I can't get my macro shots to come out quite that clear, for some reason. Are you using a tripod?

I dont use a tripod.. i press the camera lens flat against the glass, hold my breath.. and try to press down the shutter while keeping the cam absolutely still..

Alot of pics still come out a little blurry.. but I dont post those :lol:

The 950 has an auto-focus macro mode, and you can also press the shutter halfway down to lock in a particular focus.. a little experimenting can result in some nice shots..

Also.. I usually use no flash. And I drink no coffee.. hehe..
