Water changes lol. But really water changes 15 gallons every two weeks or so. Had a bag of carbon in the sump that I would switch out when I did the water change.

Same here W/C every week and if I remember there wasn't much of a choice on salts. I used I/O and Tropic Marin. I cleaned the canister filter and later a wet/dry of detris. I also used a Skilter so I cleaned that as well as the little skimmer in it and siphon the sand for the under gravel filter.
For those who remember my tank is an O'Dell ... Built like a tank all tempered which I still have today as my fuge.
