I suck at taking piks of my tank

I have a canon slr 1000d I take piks but they don't come out as dope as everyone else's do what am I doing wrong grrrrr lmao

Why don't you at least post one of them so we can see. I am guessing that your colors look like crap and have a blue tint. It is about white balance for the color. But it also has to do with shutter speed and aperture. A sample or 2 will help out.
