The blue Teardrops use to come in rarely from the Solomons years ago and often sell for $500-$800. We have not seen them from there for a couple of years now, so we have not seen one from anywhere in about 2 years. Plus the Solomon ones were always a bit touchy to keep alive for some unexplainable reason. These clams are from Vietnam and I have never lost one Vietnam clam of any size or type, they appear to be super hardy. We import a lot of clams from there and the blue teardrop is a one in a million find!
