Snails and hermit not moving

Hey John,

about 1/3 of the order I received about a week ago still have not moved

any idea on what could be done to help them out if they are alive?

Mine did not move for about the same time period and then they were fine

Pick up a snail and smell it, you will instantly know if they are alive or dead

Some of the snails are nocturnal and can be that way in general. Ceriths are annoying that way, especially at first. They may have also succumbed to stress..the hermits should be moving by now. They don't take as long. Email your order info and we will work something out, and I can at least check to see if they are the type to stay put. LongIslandAndy is right, the smell of a dead snail is noticeable. Smells almost like a deep mud sulfur smell...But there are other signs, ceriths lose their operculum, as do nassarius. Hermits are empty shells, the crab isn't retracted, or doesn't respond to stimuli...etc... Anyway just email me and I will correct the issue.
