what are the differences between the gen 2's and these "gen 3's" in form of functions and programs? i can see the control unit is new...but are the wet side the same?

Good question Tom. I'd like to know too...I had soo many problems with my Wetside. The first 6months were like 5 times back and forth with ecotech and now finally I got it working with falling. It does fall occasionally and the controller goes dead every once in a while but I love the power it has.

wow...that sux...you must have gotten a dud...i got both of mine used (like 4 months old) and it's been no problem for 8 months now. the only annoying thing is one of them is louder than the other in the custom program short wave mode....perhaps it's the resonance or the whining of the motor/wetside?

I don't believe there are any changes to the wet sides. This is a controller only upgrade.

Yes, no changes to dryside or wetside, only change is the controller!!!!

Yeah, I read on their website it's only controller update. Two new wave modes tidal swell and nutrient transport and better wireless master-slave pump relationship. And it look cool with all the bright LED's

auto dimming is cool. i have my gen 2's on short wave mode and the blue/orange flashing in the dark sometimes make me check the window to see if there's a police car in the area.:tired:.....lol.

Hey guys. I just ordered one from ecotech and will post up a review when I start running it.

Sorry to post it on this forum. But just to make it relevant. I ordered an mp10 from TB Aquatics and service was AWESOME, so was shipping (super fast)
