I should probably specify.. (I think the heat is getting to my head as well as my tank :lol2.. The short version is this:
I'm currently an 'office guy'. I have 5 years experience in Human Resources along with a BA in HR. However...
My long term (4-5 year) goal is to work as a Physical Therapist in a hospital. In the meantime, I need to gain experience in a clinical-type setting first. If anyone has ideas/recommendations on an entry level position (possibly a tech or similar..really anything that doesn't require a degree or specialized training) that would pay decent and allow a bit of flexibility, I'm all ears. Obviously, school is on the horizon, and I'm aware I'm not even remotely qualified for a PT position yet.
Mabe see about starting as a volunteer for alittle while thenbyoull have some experience ...idk I work at an animal hospital and I've seen some ppl do it this way
there are short vocational classes that can get you in the door. boces offers a 4month clinical medical assisting program that would do the trick. or you could attend night classes for phlebotomy to get you into the hospital.
Most good schools for pt are doctorate programs from what I . Short programs for pt assistance . Pm me your email address I have a friend that has her own practice I could put you in touch with.
