Tore my MCL....

So last Sunday I'm working on finishing the basement and fish room, turn to grab something off the floor and POW. Went down like a rock. Felt like someone shot me in my left knee. Being low on sick leave I worked 4 eve shifts last week and by Friday couldn't take it anymore. Went to the Ortho and MRI shows I have a grade 2 tear of my left MCL. Wearing a lovely custom fit brace from my shin to my thigh, HUGE anti-inflammatories and pain meds. Worst part about it is it takes me 5 minutes to make it down the stairs to the tank No work till next Wednesday and light duty for 4-6 weeks....

Sorry to hear about your injury (though probably not as sorry as you ) I've had reconstructive surgery on both knees so I know what you're going through. Just make sure you get a good PT after you've healed up.

Thanks bud. Yeah they are pee testing me once a week to make sure I am not overdoing the meds. I went down that route 12 years ago after I was badly burned. Had a pretty bad problem with the morphine they were giving me afterwards. Won't go there again..
