Diving with the sharks out in montauk

The good thing about diving with sharks in Montauk is that you don't see them until they are arms distance away. I took this in Tahiti and you can see them for miles.

wow nice...what kind of sharks r these Paul?

They are just black tip reef sharks, very common in the South Pacific.
When you dive there you have to be careful you don't jump on one when you jump off the boat, thats how many there are. You can even see them from the beach.
When we jumped out in shallow water to feed sting rays we had to keep throwing fish far from us to keep the sharks away while we played with the rays.
There are also plenty of lemon sharks which are twice as large but they don't come close to you like the black tips.
