Need help converting vob to wmm

Hey I know there are some bright reefers with computer knowledge on the forum. I need help in converting a dvd to a format which i can edit in Windows movie maker. I have googled endlessly but can't find a specific answer, if anyone knows please help me. If anyone knows how to convert it onto a Mac that would be great too. Thank you

You want to use wmv instead of wmm in your searches to find what you need. if you still can't, let me know and i'll explain further. I personally would use handbrake to rip the dvd (unencrypted dvds only i believe) and the imovie to edit. Never used wmm.

What kind of dvd are you trying to rip? A home movie or encrypted movie dvd?

I like http://www.xilisoft.com/ Ultimate dvd ripper. I've used this software to rip all my dvds into digital format. You can rip the DVD into any format imaginable. I also use their DVD Creator because you can edit videos of different formats.
