I have been looking at the Canon Powershot A620 as my top choice in the price range I am looking in. It has the closest effective macro. All the guys I talk to have told me to go with a Canon if I'm looking for extreme closeups with great detail. So if anyone has any reasons as to why I shouldn't buy this camera speak now or forever hold your peace. Or let me know if there is another camera you know of for $500 or less that's better. I researched but I want people I sort of know to stop me if this is a bad choice.
