I don't know man.. I went to Le Moyne College (5 minutes outside of Syracuse) when 'Melo played and they won the national championship game. Kinda hard not to be a fan.

It's a lot to stomach, time will tell if the trade was a wise choice. Though it's true that the excitement is really building up like the 90s.

I dont think they gave up too much the guys they gave up have been in the league for several years now and all of a sudden they are cream of the crop dont think so...remember folks the knicks are what 28 and 26...record speaks for itself and your getting billups as well with a chance to get deron williams or chris paul next year they are not a championship team but they are definetly better...and if paid to go to msg i would be happy as hell to finally see a quality product on the court..but in the this is just mho

What bothers me most was the article that came out over the weekend about how Isiah is still in Dolan's ear and still in control.

The same news came up when Lebron was a free agent.

Thought of Isiah running basketball operations just sends a shiver up my spine.

Yeah, I'm not surprised though. He's been gunning for Walsh's job ever since he's been fired from it. It's hard not to think the Knicks will suffer again if he gets the stewardship.

As a die hard knicks fan this trade is huge. We lost some good guys but we will see if it was worth it. Melo is in his prime and is great friends with Omare so the chemistry is going to be unreal.
The worst name any real knicks fan can even hear is ISIAH. If he comes back at all I will be deeply disappointed

No, I like the Knicks more than the Nets but a great point guard can, and usually does, makes the biggest difference on a team. It's much easier to build a team when you have a great point guard, as opposed to having a great big man. A great point guard makes the rest of the team a lot better, something you can't always say about a great big man.

Far from just building around one BIG guy ;-)
It is why when we got anthony we also got Billups cause who's going to pass the ball :)

Do I think they gave away a lot for Anthony Hell yeah, but was it worth it "HELL YEAH!"

Oh by the way I'm a Knicks fan and Nets lol....

I'm with Marrone. Remember the impact Jason Kidd had on the Nets. I can't remember anyone else that was on the team in 2002 & 2003, but I do remember they went to the Finals both years.

o wait they had Luscious Harris best sixth man!
