Tattoo Removal?

Looking to find out some information on tattoo removal. anyone have any experience or know anywhere in the nyc area?

What about a cover up? Probably much easier and you can get it pretty cheap because ink is already there.

it is very expensive to have done, i had my right leg ankle to knee in a sleave and had it removed, hurts like heck and cost me around 3k for the 3 treatments but you can barely see it now, cost and effectiveness might have went down, mine was done almost 10 years ago

Iam in the process now for a tattoo on my back it's about the size of my hand and it's not that bad if you can handle getting the tattoo you can handle the laser... I go to a place in mount kisco off 684 and it runs me about $150 a session price depends on size and color of tattoo I've gone 4x already and it's getting lighter and lighter you can only go every 6 weeks bc you have to give the skin time to heal...

I am entertaining the idea of getting them removed or lightening them for a cover up. It's two symmetrical tribals (uhhh seemed smart at the time ) each a little larger than the size if a mans palm.
They are shaded black. Definitely not deep -6 years old avg fading

Just trying to get some info.

I was gonna say- get a cover up tat instead of removal?

Of course, that's no help if you just want it gone, but if it's an ex's name or some other mistake cover up is an option...

Black is actually the easiest color to remove using the laser. Coverup would be the easiest though.

oh yeah it's painful. My uncle recently got tattoo removal. It's a mini surgury basically. They take off that layer of your skin. He had an excellent plastic surgeon so it's been like a year and you can barely see any signs of it.

why not try using something that will dull the ink.
Wrecking ball perhaps? If it actually works that is.

Honestly, pain is the least of my worries...

Based on the current economy i'm more concerned that i wont be able to find an honest practitioner. Many places offer this treatment and i really do not want to be taken advantage of. [large consultation fees and get suckered]

The economy could also work to my advantage if i can get a good recommendation.

Its a pretty difficult procedure too research, virtually everything on the net leads to bs advertising on "miracle" creams and hot shot manhattan plastic surgeons with huge consultation fees.

Doing something this important, where you're so concerned about being scammed or taken advantage of, I wouldn't think going to Westchester County from Staten Island only once every six weeks for a reputable removal would be a problem. I actually read Richie's post and thought $150 was ridiculously low considering how intense the removal is. If you're getting a good recommendation from him (TRUCKING), I think you should reconsider your initial thoughts. JMO
