Might be the absolute weirdest question on here, but does anyone know if a really old Whale or large fishing spear is worth anything? Haha. I have one for some reason, don't ask. I have had it for...well... Before i was born its been on the wall in my garage. I actually think when we bought the house, the guy left it here by accident it a giant metal box. Its all wood handle, about 6 foot long and weight is...heavy lol. The metal shaft is about 3 foot, and then some locking style dagger the size of my hand. Maybe a whale spear? Hahaha I don't know, im just wondering if maybe it has some value or just a good random conversation starter while hanging out? it's been up there forever and I always wondered about it............

Yeah i saw that one, but when you look online, most look like a whale spear for a gun. Mine, i don't know why you would, but it looks like one you would throw or hand held because of the large wooden part? Haha

from what I have seen most aren't worth much and the last auction I was at, the one they had (looked older than that one) didn't sell at all. Most collectibles have bottomed out due to the economy right now. If it is worth anything you might be better off holding onto it for a few years if things pick up.
