My two year old keeps us on our toes.

One night we were putting her to bed and of course she wasn't ready to sleep. She burst out "Come on daddy, give me a chance!"

The kids shows have characters that become sad, mad, etc and how to resolve those feelings. She's been walking around saying "I'm mad!" so I usually tell her don't be mad, be happy. She was misbehaving one night and I told her I was upset with her. She said to me "Daddy, are you mad?" I knew what was coming next I said yes. She said "Don't be mad daddy, be happy."

Talking about kids shows and how they've changed over the years. She recently said to me "Daddy, I'll beat you down!"

What funny things have your little ones been saying?

did i inspire this? :D

well my boy(5) is quick to remind me of things i say, for instance when my brother comes over we roughhouse(tradition) a little and if Jr sees that he quotes me by saying "no horsing around someone going to get hurt, and I'm not going to be the one to call 911"

if amazing how the soak up everything. it a shame tho tv shows aren't what they used to be. crap like spongebob and all that other trash are absolutely worthless. what happened to show that had and ending with a lesson...SMH thundercats, or G.I. Joe anyone?

Last night I asked my daughter (6) how her day at school went.
"Good," she said, "and tomorrow we're going on a trip to a fancy restaurant. They don't have chicken nuggets, they have chicken fingers!"

I don't know that. I watched some old episodes of Tom and Jerry the other day. That show is so violent and loaded with racist and sexist stereotypes. I never realized when I was a kid. Different times I guess.

At least Yo Gabba Gabba is teaching my daughter "Don't Bite Your Friends"

lol you know you're right how ever i don't think it made too large an impact on how i turned out, i do occasionally say a sexist joke but that is the only manifestation of what i may or may have not learned watching T&J or other toons that fall into that genre.
