Hey, I am just wondering if anyone knows a company that is called AWS? I just bought my house a few months ago and all the windows in the house are stamped with AWS. My house was built in 1995 I have tried everything to find out what company windows these are but cant find anything online. The only thing I found was America standard windows but that is not my windows. Does anyone have AWS windors?

I have been looking to get all my windows replaced in my house. I had sears at my house tonight for over 3 hours. They want almost 20,000 to replace all windows. Tomorrow night I have 4 seasons coming.

Does anyone know of a really good window company?

Thanks

Does the A have a star in the middle. If it does its probably American Window Systems.

In the office I work at, we use mostly Anderson windows. The make pretty good windows for a decent price. How many windows are you replacing? 20,000 dollars seems about right for a whole house.

Hey not to sure about the star but will look as soon as I get home. I am replacing 14 windows. I had 4 seasons last night and they want 13,000 for the whole house. I guess that's a little better then 20,000.

Thanks

Do not find "small home improvement company to do it at a better price."

You are about to undertake a large capital investment in your property. Find someone that is a reputable window installer, who installs reputable windows. I can guarantee that if three years down the road you have a problem with one of the windows you're going to have a hard time finding the "small" guy.

Even if you decide to use name brand windows (pella/ anderson) the first thing they will ask on a warranty claim is who did the install. If it wasn't by a certified installer, you're going to have a difficult time dealing with the window company.

Here's a review on Four Seasons, you be the judge:

Yea you can go with a smaller company, There are companies that are certified and make sure they are insured. Large companies are not the only ones that are certified you know.

Who said anything about large companies being better than small guys? If you're going to quote me at least read what I wrote and don't put words in my mouth.

I didn't put words into your mouth, That is pretty much what you said. I said look for a smaller company for a better price and you said don't go with them, because they are not certified. Man you Timbermen are something else. By the way Home Depot will have a list of companies that are certified and insured to install Anderson windows. Home Depot carries Anderson windows.
