Your system in heavily infested, you should do a clean re-installation. Get a bootable Windows of you choice with the latest Service Pack. If you still have the key code from the back of your laptop, you can legally use a friend's XP disc.

Follow the instruction the other guy mentioning about deleting the partition as well, if not even a re-install from your own hard drive may still re-infest your system.

Before re-installation make sure you download all the drivers pretaining to your laptop and back up all your data from the laptop. Before you put back your data, and/or any USB devices, make sure you install Avast Free from Download.com to protect your old stuff from infesting your systema gain.

Starting the thread on how to re-install O/S usually signify the user is not PC proficient and has tons of crap loaded on there. Otherwise they would be able to fix it themselves.

My advice to all the users is to tell them to stop going to questionable sites and downloading crap. You should never need to use a registry cleaner. Users who uses the cleaners wouldn't know what is being deleted if they have to manually select or let the program do it. That may leave you open for more infections later on if you deleted the virus scan from starting up at startup by deleting it from the Run key.

If yo have to do that to your system, then it's better to reinstall the O/S.

Lol this is true. Problem is i used my lab top and took care of it, then I pretty much moved in with my girlfriend, and left my lab top at my mothers house for a year. My 9 year old sister and mom used it every day. I turned it on and some webkin's picture was the background with a barbie doll sticker on the back. Just wonderful lol. So It was done for once i took it back lol.
