As a commuting student, I take all forms of MTA transportation... The express and local bus, ferry, train, and car ride over the Verrazano bridge.

It's already bad as it is with metrocard raises. They plan to stop metrocards that allow students to take buses and trains for free. and now they want to raise the tolls. And taking that damn bridge ain't cheap especially with no carpool.

I agree with Richard. I feel your pain and soon everyone else will in one way or another!!!! They are out of their freaking minds. They need money hmmm.... simple solution "raise tolls". At the rate they are going the toll on the VNB will one day be $100 + and lets not forget the other crossings. WTF? Are they really trying to make everybody move out of state? I'm already regretting ever moving to SI and ready to move back to Brooklyn. Steve(Moidol) can vouch for me on that.
I read somewhere that No Place On Earth pays more tolls than people travelling to SI. It also went on to say that the four bridges VN,Goethals, Bayonne and Outerbridge generate $550 million a year and growing. Where is all that money going?????? There is some serious corruption going on and nobody is doing anything about it.
