Need ideas for my fiance's birthday...

Was thinking of water taxi beach in Long Island City. Would like to get something to do outdoors. Anybody know of anything fun to do on a Saturday or Sunday. Alcohol is always a plus, so if anyone knows cool spots feel free to chime in.

PS. We did Beer Garden for my birthday, so that's out.

You could do the cliche of dinner and carriage ride through central park. Personally, I would look around for restaurants that have "garden seating," which usually means some sort of upper level deck with nice decor that's a little more pivate. On a nice night it's really enjoyable

Also the Brooklyn Botanical gardens (some of it isn't outside, but there's that big atrium that houses a lot of their larger plants and trees.) Theres also the tremendous koi pond and other really interesting things, I don't know if you were specifically looking for a nighttime activity though.

Not specifically nighttime. In fact, I'd like to do a daytime into nighttime thing. Brooklyn Botanical is a cool idea. I will look into that too. Thanks

Ahh. good question Woodman. She mentioned that she wanted to do something outdoors, kinda like a volleyball game or softball. Mini Golf is a pretty good idea.

She is into photography, and art, but I want to include he family and friends which is why I was thinking of something outdoors.

There is a cool place to hang down on the lower west side, it is on a pier they have food,music and booze. I don`t remember the street maybe someone know`s what I am talking about and could chime in.
